I love the Desperate Gardener stories, keep them coming. Most of them make me think of the Gulf Coast. So glad to see you have your Citrus and Bananas with you. The hints are wonderful and helpful. Will send other gardeners to this delightful page. Keep up the great work- - educating gardeners!

I enjoyed your column in the July/August Chicago Gardening Magazine. Would you be able to put me in touch with the lady who sold you the "Granny Capron lavendar" ? I LOVE lavendar and have not been able to have it return much from year to year. Thank you, Marilyn

Hi...I have a yard full of roses, and though I am allergic as the dickens would like to utilize them somehow. ...so, I am attempting to dry the for "potpouri and things to trade for things I can use :) BUT, for the single petals, am not sure how to go about it..some of them are just soo fragile..and then one of my "beloved" pets decided to decimate a whole bunch of them whole on me, so now I have a couple of quarts of rose petals, and only one way to dry them..gasp..the oven. (Not enough racks, etc for outdoor drying..not in your financial bracket, so not buying racks either..I'm using the oven. However, wondering what they are good for now, as of course the aroma has dimmed. Any suggestions would be helpful. Feel free to email me at the address provided. Cool stories..made me giggle..had one like Georgio too..only not as rich.

Just loved your stories and hints! Can't wait to try some of the ideas, especially the one using rabbit pellets to make my plants bigger.

How does the name "M'Liz" fit in to this wealth of knowledge ??? It's my sister's AND my daughter's name. And not common by any stretch of the imagination. Please drop me an e-mail Thanks
